Chelmsford Model Flying Association | the Essex model flying club . . .

On Sunday May 12th, the largest organised event in the history of the Chelmsford Model Flying Association took place at the clubs Roxwell flying field. The Fun Day was held in association with the Essex Air Ambulance, and a donation from the proceeds was presented to this worthy life saving charity. The event which was well attended attracted a good mix of public, both young and old, along with a very impressive flying display by club members and invited guests the crowds were entertained throughout the day.

Local Weather

The Fun Day event raised £200 from sales of raffle tickets, burgers, refreshments, also the very popular Try 'n' Fly at £5.00 a flight attracted many wannabe pilots young and old. A further £26 was collected by the Essex Air Ambulance volunteers who sold a verity of EAA souvenirs on the day.

There are also photos of some of the club volunteers and helpers who helped make this event an enjoyable one for all of those that attended.
